DDC website updated ... will wonders never cease?!?

It's been over a year and a half (May 2004, to be exact) since this web site was updated. We'll do a better job of providing timely reading & meeting info. in the future.


February 2006 reading selection

The next meeting of the DDC will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd, 6:30pm at a the D.O.C. Wine Bar (back room), 2602 N. Clark Street, Chicago. The reading selection is Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie. Meeting Dates & Locations

The DDC meets on the fourth Wednesday of January-September (except for June and August, when no meetings are scheduled) and on the third Wednesday of October-December (we meet a week earlier to avoid Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas scheduling conflicts). You can view our upcoming schedule online or download a copy of our printable calendar (.pdf).

All meetings begin at 6:30pm and last approx. two (2) hours. Usually, the first half hour is spent socializing, ordering food & drinks, etc., and we settle in for the book discussion beginning around 7:00pm.

Unless otherwise announced, our meeting location is the D.O.C. Wine Bar, 2602 N. Clark St., Chicago. The D.O.C. Wine Bar is conveniently located on the 22 Clark and 36 Broadway CTA bus routes. Street parking is available to the patient and the lucky.
